In- Person Group Descriptions:

Tuesday:

12pm – Open Discussion: This is an open topic peer support group. This group is a space for anything you’d like to bring up - whether there’s something specific you’d like to seek support around, something going on you’d like to share with the group, or you’re simply looking to chat about an interesting topic.

1pm – Creative Writing: Join us to spend time together responding to fun writing prompts and (optionally) sharing our writing with others, all while enjoying a playlist of songs selected by members of the group. All skill levels welcome!

2pm – Recovery Is Real: What does the word “recovery” mean to you? What do you think it means to be “in recovery”? What kinds of things can we do to grow in our lives? In this group we will discuss these questions and more.

Wednesday:

12pm – Open Discussion: This is an open topic peer support group. This group is a space for anything you’d like to bring up - whether there’s something specific you’d like to seek support around, something going on you’d like to share with the group, or you’re simply looking to chat about an interesting topic.

1pm – Relaxation Techniques: Are you interested in learning techniques to become more mindful and more relaxed? Do you have a skill or practice that helps you relax? Learn and share with others as we try out different relaxation and mindfulness techniques along with the group.

2pm – Creative Questions: Would you rather be able to fly or breathe underwater? What is your favorite game? In Creative Questions, we connect with others by posing interesting, fun, or even silly personality-based questions to the rest of the group. Questions have no right or wrong answer, and anyone in the group can come up with a question they’d like to ask.

This group is a space for anything you’d like to bring up - whether there’s something specific you’d like to seek support around, something going on you’d like to share with the group, or you’re simply looking to chat about an interesting topic.

1pm – Living in the World: Do you love discussing and/or learning more about what’s going on in the world? In this group, we will take a look at how events in the world affect each of us on a personal level. Discussion topics can include anything from specific current events to “meta” conversations about the impact of the world on our daily lives.

2pm – Arts and Music: Try out creative "drawing prompts" and (optionally) share drawings with others, all while listening to a playlist of tunes selected by group members. All skill levels welcome!
